Tomás Reyes

Tomás has an unusual path to his role at KDPEasy: he started as a customer. In 2021, while working as an ESL teacher in Austin, he started creating puzzle and activity books as a creative outlet and supplemental income. His specialty was word search and crossword books with themes he loved—Texas history, astronomy, and classic movies.

Creating covers was his biggest pain point. He had ideas but lacked design skills, and the generic templates available felt soulless. When he discovered KDPEasy during its early beta, he was immediately hooked. He was also immediately full of feedback—detailed bug reports, feature suggestions, and user experience critiques.

After his fourth unsolicited email with meticulously documented feedback, Marcus asked if he wanted a job. Tomás said yes, initially part-time while still teaching. Within six months, he'd transitioned to full-time, bringing his experience as both an educator and a KDP publisher to the customer success role.

Tomás is known for his patience and thoroughness. He treats every support ticket like a puzzle to solve. He's also the voice of the user internally, constantly advocating for changes that make the tool easier to use. His teaching background shows in how he creates tutorials and documentation that actually make sense.

He holds a degree in Communications from the University of Texas at Austin and still publishes puzzle books regularly—now with much better covers. He lives in Austin with his partner and their two cats, and is unreasonably proud of his response time metrics.
