About Danielle
Danielle brings a unique perspective to KDPEasy: she's been on every side of the book business. She started as a book blogger in 2016, reviewing indie and self-published fiction while working in corporate marketing. What started as a hobby turned into a passion for the indie author community.
In 2018, she took the plunge and published her first book—a cozy mystery novella that she wrote during NaNoWriMo. The experience was eye-opening. She had years of marketing experience but still struggled with the specific challenges of book marketing: metadata optimization, cover design that converts, and building an author platform from scratch.
Over the next few years, Danielle published 12 more titles across fiction and non-fiction, learning by doing. She became known in KDP communities for her practical, no-nonsense advice on book marketing. Her blog posts on cover design and Amazon optimization were shared thousands of times.
Marcus reached out in late 2022 after reading one of her articles. He was looking for someone who understood both marketing and the author experience. Danielle was initially skeptical—she'd seen too many tools promise the moon—but after testing KDPEasy's beta, she was sold.
At KDPEasy, Danielle leads marketing, content strategy, and community building. She writes most of the blog content, manages SEO, and spends significant time in author communities understanding what they need. She has a marketing degree from Howard University and previously worked in digital marketing at a DC-based agency.
